FedEx celebrates milestone anniversary through Charity Fun Run

Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, celebrated the company’s 40th anniversary in the Philippines through a charity fun run in collaboration with local non-profit Noah’s Ark Dog and Cat Shelter to raise awareness for animal protection.

In line with the FedEx culture value “commit to do good,” more than 600 runners consisting of customers, team members, and their families gathered at the Clark Parade Grounds to participate in the 3-kilometer and 5-kilometer event. Participants were also encouraged to bring their pets.

“Our commitment to the Philippines for the last 40 years goes beyond supporting local businesses, it extends into positively impacting local communities,” said Maribeth Espinosa, managing director of FedEx Philippines.

“This fun run provides our customers and team members with a chance to enjoy quality time with their families and pets while supporting a great cause. Our purpose is to connect people and possibilities around the world in responsible and resourceful ways, resulting in a better world.”

“We would like to express our deepest appreciation to FedEx for inviting us to be part of this remarkable event,” said Leah Ibuna, owner and founder of Noah’s Ark Dog and Cat Shelter. “We are also thankful for the opportunity to help our animals find lifelong homes.”

FedEx is committed to making a meaningful difference in local communities by promoting positive change. Progress of FedEx Cares key areas such as Delivering for Good, Global Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Logistics, Employee Engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, can be found in the latest FedEx Cares Report.
